The Positive Breastfeeding Book

If you are looking for an easy (and funny) read to learn all about breastfeeding, this is for you. This book goes into detail on all that you may need to know. The book is written by Dr. Amy Brown who is well known for her research into breastfeeding... you'll definitely be getting the most up-to-date information!

Womenly Art of Breastfeeding

Written and funded by Le Leche League International, this book has all the answers to your breastfeeding questions. The fact that it has 8 editions pretty much says it all...

Real Food for Pregnancy

Lily Nichols' books are one of my favourite nutrition resources. She talks through all the foods that you should be eating and what to avoid during pregnancy (be ready for some surprises!) She also has a chapter dedicated to postpartum recovery and breastfeeding. All her books are based on the latest evidence.

Looking for the high chair or high chairs? The Tripp Trapp chair is easily adjusted and can grow with your child. It can even be used by adults! It provides good postural support for learning to eat and is the recommended chair for feeding therapists. Note that tray is sold separately here.

Costway High Chair

This is a fab, cost effective high chair that is easily cleaned (a must for weaning) and can adjust into different modes. There is also a foot plate which is good for postural support and can be easily transported.

I believe that buying plates is a no-go when you are first starting solids. They mostly just get in the way and make it tricky for your baby to get to the food. But for some foods (think puree, soup or porridge), a bowl may be needed. I highly recommend suction bowls to prevent any unnecessary mess!
